If "power supply problem" means it "fried" with a burnt smell, it could
have destroyed several other components with it. I'm repairing a
computer now in which the power supply blew and took 2 hard drives, a
CDRW-DVD combo, motherboard and perhaps the CPU (will know after I
replace the motherboard), and a case fan with it. If I had known the
extent of damages before I started, I would have replaced the entire
system. I've had another computer that the power supply blew and also
took out the keyboard, mouse and motherboard but at least it left the
hard drive intact though it had to have the OS reinstalled.

Just what you wanted to hear - right??
