Had he bought a standard Celeron this would indeed be the case, but the 300A
is an "upgraded" version with built in cache that performs much better than
the original Celerons. I have a 300A overclocked to 450mhz and it
outperforms my PII 400mhz by about 10-12% in various benchmark test. Would
have never bought the PII had I known I could have bought a 300A for about
$90. Oh well, live and learn, eh ?
