Karen,

You didn't specify what you mean by "everything" ....

If you mean hardware, then yes -- all your hardware will be fine.
Formatting a
disk will not make any changes to your actual hardware.

If you mean SOFTware and DATA, then NO --  everything will NOT be intact

and workable.                It will  *ALL*  be gone.
