If all failed, check Device manager, see if you enabled DMA for CD drive,
sometime you need to disable this DMA option if you experienced problem.

Subject: [PCBUILD] CD-Rom and DVD-Rom unable to read Office 2000 Premium

I have an interesting problem that I haven't been able to fix. I have an
Acer CD-650P and a Samsung DVD SD-606F in my Pent 3, 450MHZ home built
computer. For about a year now, I have been unable to load Office 2K Premium
on this computer, and I keep getting the same 2351 and 2355 errors when I
try to install.

I have been in touch with the braintrust at Microsoft, and they suggest
slowing down the CD-Rom, and this doesn't work. I have tried everything
except replacing the CD-Rom drive, but I'm about ready to do that. I have
an Asus P3V4X mobo, 128MB RAM, and short patience. Any suggestions?
