  Okay -- I've seen some rather odd looking "SIMMs" inside PS/2s, and
many laptops seem to require custom memory modules, but those
wouldn't (generally) use flash memory.
  Ooh!  My old Mac IIcx had a slot that looked very like a 72-pin
SIMM slot, which I'm told was intended to hold an upgrade ROM.  THAT
might be made using flash memory rather than EPROMs....
