Try a stethoscope to see if you can pinpoint the noise.
If you don't have one of them, use a piece of hose, holding
one end to an ear, and moving the other end around the case
until the noise is obvious.  This method is very handy for
locating a tapping valve in a car engine also.

> Dean - Thanks for the tip but I disabled the cpu fan and still got the noise.  I have disabled every movable part that I can think of except for the cpu.  That's why I suspect that that's the source of the noise altho it doesn't seem logical to me.
