I have two Windows 98 machines that when booting up I get the following error:

bi-di.386 Cannot find a device file that may be needed to run Windows or Windows Application.

The Windows registry or system.ini file refers to this device file but the device file no longer exists.

I press any key to continue and Windows continues to boot. I have reinstalled the operating system and the problem persists.

If the problem lies in the bios, what do I need to do to correct? Thanks.

Steve
