Thanks for everyone's help with my recent PS/2 keyboard problem. The computer did not see the keyboard at boot-up and stopped. A USB keyboard solved the problem. Then the computer did not see the mouse at boot-up. The problem was a bent pin in the PS/2 mouse connector. Apparently the mouse and keyboard share some resources. A question, hopefully of troubleshooting interest to all: Will a keyboard or mouse that is defective for other than a bent pin cause both to stop working?

Thanks,

Tom
