This is not exactly what you are asking for, but it does record the
incoming caller ID and keeps it in a log.

Anyone know of a device to allow recording of caller id into a database
on a computer? Also would like to record the number being dialed out. As
a former electronics engineer, I could probably design one, but I don't
really want to spend that much time doing it:)
