        Most likely has happened is that device manager has not "noticed" that you
disabled the onboard port and hasn't "seen" the new port. Try deleting the
LPT port in device manager and rebooting, see if it picks up the new port.
If it doesn't (which is likely if the new card doesn't support plug and
play) install the port manually with the "new hardware" wizard. TTYL
