I have had very good success with the Bay Networks FA310TX. It's based
onthe DEC tulip chip (which is what linux will see it as). RH 5.0 setup
found the card with no problems. Other cards that I have used include a
Boca BEN110 (EN2100 compatible). This card is based on the AMD Lance
chip, and is pretty much the AMD 79c691 chip and some memory with the Boca
name on it! There is one thing to worry about with these cards, more
specifically the Linux driver support for them. By default, many of the
"Lance" cards come with I/O address 240H. The linux kernel support for
this card only includes (i think) 300H, 320H, 340H and 360H. So that is
one thing to remember to configure.

I have had problems with the Kingston KNE20BT. This card is supposedly
ne2000 compatible, but I had very limited success with it. I don't quite
know what Novell was thinking when they made the default int for this card
IRQ 3. Since most people in the computing world have communications ports
assigned to 3. That's just my gripe for the day. I just set them to 10
usually.

Your best bet will probably be the Bay networks card (at least for RedHat)
Plus, it can be had for about US $30, and it's a 10/100 card, so it's
really a pretty good bargain.

Good luck
