Sometimes this can be an issue of other devices on the system.  I have
seen this issue arise with Internal IDE zip drives.   You can try removing
all the excess drives from your IDE controller except your Master hard
drive, ('C' drive).  Format the drive and reload Windows98.  If this is the
problem your IDE controller will have the drivers installed.

Another option is to download the most recent IDE drives from ABIT for
your motherboard.  You can find the drivers at:
     http://www.abit-usa.com/html/loadd06.htm

You might also want to investigate to see if you have the latest BIOS
installed on your motherboard.   Bios upgrades are available from ABIT's
web site also.
