I think the Lindows selling at Wal Mart is "NOT" the full
released version (Windows compatible) that is due out
near the end of this year.

It is an introductory version that is NOT compatible with
lots of Windows APIs... Time will tell what will happen when
a Linux based OS is unleashed on "newbees" at a mass marketer.

I wish them well, and would switch if all "my" programs would run on it.

Which brings up another point. At least one of my most important programs,
(QuickBook2002Pro) has MS Internet Explorer integrated into it so deeply,
it will not even "start" if MSIE is broken or not installed (and needs to be a
high enough version)... (I told Intuit it was a "bad idea" to do that...)

Lindows is looking like a "no-show" for me...

PS: Your question is "exactly" why MS sued to keep them from using that
name... (MS lost...)
