Open the box and inspect the video card. You should be able to identify the
make and model of the card, or at least identify the chipset that produces
the video. It is also possible that the video is built-in on the
motherboard. What is the model of motherboard that you have? It is a bit
unusual for Win98se not to properly recognize at least the chipset on a
video interface. You might want to get a copy of Fresh Diagnose at
http://www.freshdevices.com - it is free and can help you identify the
devices in your computer. SiSoft Sandra is another utility that might help.
Of course, you may have trouble using either one of them, given you current
video problems. If you still need help, gather the hardware info and tell us
about it.
