  A significant issue when writing CD-Rs is that the system must
supply data to the drive as fast as it is being written to the CD.
If the system falls behind, the CD will be ruined.  [With CD-RW you
might be able to try again....]
  This is why some people have been reluctant to trust IDE for this
job; it's too dependent on how busy the CPU is.  4x recording is
probably not an issue with a 300 or 400 MHz system, but with a P90 I
think I'd be looking to SCSI instead.
