  Hello ,
I am looking to get a 3com 56k modem an I was wondering what the
difference is between the two ? The system I have now has a 56k modem in it
an it really is a pain to get on aol . It takes the handshake forever an alot
of the time it doesn't connect . Last weekend I installed a 3com 56k ISA
modem on my brothers system an he can't connect any faster than 26400 ? But
it gets right on no problems . When I do get on with mine it says I connected
at 57k ? I know the modem in my system is a PCI an I guess what I'm saying is
I want the best of (don't we all ) both worlds , to get connected right away
an at the fastest kbs I can ? Thanks for any help an yes I know I have to
make the choice , just wanting a little help . Thanks !
