I installed a USB Microphone the other day, and the directions explicitely
stated this device should ONLY be installed initially directly thru an
onboard USB plug, and NOT thru any hubs. It went on to say after it was
initially installed then it would be OK to plug it into any USB plug or hub.
I haven't had any problems with it so it might be worth considering?
