I'm not sure what your reasons are for creating your
own cables but a quick search on my favorite site to
buy PC parts at on the net (because they don't charge
an arm and a leg for shipping), www.computergate.com,
sell basic 24" IDE cables for $0.99 each when ordering
20+. Hope that helps.
