56k modem features: PCI? speakerphone?

To choose between 2 modems: supraExpress 56k ISA, speakerphone, voicemail,
US Robotics 56k PCI

1) Will PCI be faster than ISA modem although they're both 56K modems?
2) What does the speakerphone do? What does it add if I already have a
sound card? Can I use it as a phone? Can it function without a sound card?
I cannot find any detailed info from Diamond multimedia besides features...
