My server uses an Intel Venus motherboard with a Pentium Pro 200.
Yesterday, I replaced a hard drive that had died, and when the case was all
buttoned up, the system would not power on. When I put the power cord into
the back of the computer, the power light on the front would flash for about
a quarter of a second, then nothing. I cannot turn the computer on.

It's an ATX motherboard, so it uses soft power. I've removed all of the
peripherals from the motherboard, unplugged all of the hard drives, tape
backups, etc., and basically left myself with a motherboard attached to a
power supply. Still, the same results as I described above.

What do you think? Is it a dead motherboard?

Thanks,

Drew Dunn
