I just had an odd experience.
I was flashing an Award Modular BIOS v4.51PG.
My CD had moved letters, so I could not make a new
"start up" disk. I went in My Computer, and
formatted a floppy WITH system files, and booted
with that. I had the proper files, and I followed the
instructions.
Tried to "flash" - Got the error...

The Flash Memory Writer message was: Insufficent memory!

At the Win95 boot menu, I selected Command Prompt
Only, and booted that way. I formatted another
floppy with /S _and_while_I_was_there started to
flash the BIOS again... (This was the third attempt.)
This time it was fine. Very smooth.
The third time I even swapped the "second" floppy back
in, so I know it was not a "space" or file problem...
Why did it fail to run the flash program the first two
times?
          Rick
