Greetings,

I never flash the bios unless the new bios upgrade has a feature
that I absolutely need.

If you do, make sure that you have the right bios file to match your
board and chipset.  Make sure that you are using a power back up
system (UPS) in case of a power blimp or failure during the bios upgrade.
Read the recommendations carefully.
