This is a weird one. I just built a new system:

 233mmx
 Mtech 539- TX chipset
 WD 3.2 ultra
 32 mb SDRAM

The system booted normally but I had some problems
installing windows 95. Finally got it installed.
All other software loaded normally except Microsoft
Encarta 98. I would get to 15% or so and get a error
message that my disks were probably corrupt.
I tried other disks, no joy, swapped out cdrom, no joy.
finally out of desperation, I put in two 8 mb EDO simms
 instead of the 32 SDRAM.
 Then Encarta loaded normally.

The SDRAM is Korean, says "LG semicon"
 sticker on end chip: GMM2644233CNTG -10K 7462S
"LGS GM72V16821CT10K 9747G KOREA " On the chip.
LG Semicon doesn't seem to list it at their website.

My question is, has anyone else had weird problems
with this SDRAM or did I just get a bad stick?

   TIA;
