If this model has no port itself, it is unlikely that the mobo and the BIOS
support it.  Does the laptop at least have Win 98 or above?  How would the port
replicator plug into the laptop in order for it to work with no USB port on the
machine?  I seriously doubt it would work, but you can always give it a shot.


I have a client with a IBM Thinkpad 380ED (no USB port)
I have a port replicator for that model with a USB port.
My questions, will this laptop work with the usb port in the port replicator?
Anyone done this?
I've searched IBM's thinkpad support and the web and haven't found an answer.
