NT workstation functions very nicely as a SMALL network server.  Microsoft
claims that it will work with up to 20 concurrent users, but I wouldn't try
it.  Once you pass beyond 10 concurrent users the speed and efficiency of
the network drops dramatically.

Actually, you could use Windows 9x on all three machines and operate a peer
to peer network.  But you would lose all the security features as well as
many other less obvious benefits.
