Is it possible that this is a "power on indicator" LED?

Is there an LED that's part of the main case that blinks when this
HDD is active? (This LED would be connected to the motherboard.)

Does the LED on the HDD blink Off when tha HDD is active? (Most of
my Seagate SCSI drives do that.)

As clarification...is this an IDE drive that's hooked up to one
of the two IDE channels onboard the motherboard?

Just some thoughts.
