greetings, earthlings
we have now taken over your radioooo.....

   hello Dave.

answering a msg of <joi 10 iunie 1999>, from Dave Gillett to All:

I have just bought a G200...

Mine seems to be manufactured around august 1998 (altought I bought it
brand-new, sealed, from a local store!) and it is really hot. But hence the
card was designed to work at this temperature, I don't think this could be a
real problem, and definitely not a choosing criteria.

If you have an Award BIOS (I don't know about AMI) you colud try changing in
the Power Management section the Video Off Method. There are several options,
including "Blank Screen". That should be supported by any monitor :-)

Well, Matrox is well-known for putting quality first, that's one of the reasons
I decided to go for it. It cannot be compared under any aspect to the no-name
S3-based boards I have tried before.
