Hi,

You might try going to the properties of the cd-rom drive and changing
the DMA mode (from checked to not checked or vica-versa)

We are having reports about Aopen CD-956E Cd-rom drivers that dont read
well,. They go slow, block Pcs, you hear aceleration and deaceleration
from the motor and never get to be ready, etc. All those problems are
not constant but appear and disappear. Same in W Xp than Wme. We use MS
6533EG, MS 6368 V 5.0, MS 6524, mobos. Any help? TIA Roberto
