Following up several posts concerning my raised eyebrows in seeing my
newly assembled Celeron 500 system score 88, while Pent II 450 had a
Benchmark of 206.8, I read the mobo's instructions again, and I THINK I
have them figured it out. The instructions are:

BIOS -

"CPU Clock Ratio Jumpless: Disabled (or Enabled, with choice of
multipliers)"

BOARD -

"JP16 CPU Speed Setting (choices) 66, 75,83.3, 95, 100, 112, 124, 133mhz

JP18 CPU Overclock Selector
CPU CLK SELECT
CLOSE: CPU DEFAULT
OPEN: OVERCLOCK (100 Mhz)

REMARK: CPU FREQUENCY RATIO SELECTED BY CPU OR BY BIOS SETTING
(NON-LOCKED CPU)

For Internal Test Only

Note: The Overclock jumper settings are for internal test only. Improper
use may cause serious damage to your PC system."

I think the BIOS multiplier setting will not work, unless setting is
enabled in BIOS, AND JP18 is opened on board. Further, I think JP16 Speed
Setting will not work, unless JP18 is opened on board. If I accept
default settings, CPU clock ratio and speed setting are set
automatically. This leaves me with what appears to be inadequate
performance. Should I manually set CPU clock ratio and speed settings,
ignoring "Note" above? If so, to what settings?

Norton Benchmark utilized may not be accurate, but it should be usable
for system comparison.
