Greg,
Two quick questions:
1. Can you read/play audio and digital CDs?
2. DO you have another CD-R creation package that you could install
to eliminate the application software as the problem?

Subject: Yamaha CDR-102 Problems
I am working on a customers PC trying to get a Yamaha
CDR-102 burner to
work again. The drive shows up in the Adaptec SCSI BIOS
and it will show up
under device manager. It shows drive "H" in explorer.
But after the first
attempt to burn a disk, it locks up. We must reboot the
PC to recover. As
the PC comes up you can still see the SCSI BIOS
detecting the CDR, in
Device Manager it shows up. When you check the settings
tab there is no
drive letter. There is also no drive letter associated
to the CDR in
explorer. If I delete the entry in device manager reboot
the PC and install
the SPIRA drivers again it will come up under "other
devices" in device
manager. Can anyone offer any help. This is an AMD K6-2
300MHZ, 96MB SDRAM,
Adaptec 2940U v1.21. I thank you all in advance for any
input you might
have!
