Checking Drive A on Shutdown, why?

Everytime when I shutdown or restart windows (win95b) Drive A is checked.
I can see the indication light is on and hear the noise. I don't know
why. I searched the register and deleted all data with "A:/" but no
improvment.

Dose any one has any suggestion to rectify this problem? Thank you for
your enlightening.
