You need to get into the "setup" in your BIOS and make sure your hard drive
is in the boot sequence. The "normal" boot sequence has the hard drive
either first or second in order. When you start the computer the initial
screen normally indicates how to get into the "setup" and gives 2 or 3
seconds to do so. A lot of computers want the "delete" key to be pressed
when the initial screen comes up (your's may differ). After putting the hard
drive in the boot sequence, save the setting and exit "setup".

Hope this helps.

Subject: [PCBUILD] Cannot boot from Win XP.

Hi everyone:
I've P4 system running Win XP Home Edition. For some reason, I could not get
get pass the boot up sequence. After I turn on my computer, it said that
"Searching for boot record from floppy not found." Then go on to said that
"Searching for boot record from CDROM not found", and lastly "Search for
boot record from SCSC not found."
How do I go about getting the system to boot up properly without reinstall
Win XP? Any help would greatly appreciate.

Sincerely,

John.
