  Try ZoneAlert.  Can't beat the price - free!  And when I tested it against
Black Ice Defender they performed similarly.  Try a search engine to find
it. I f you can't drop me a personal e-mail and I'll look up the address for
you.

  There's also a couple other free ones - one of which is very good too;
called Tiny something I believe.

Subject: [PCBUILD] firewall


What can you tell me about hardware firewalls?  I have a security software
program called Lockdown 2000, but hate that it takes up 8% of my resources.
My resources seem to dwindle too quickly as it is without that drain on
them.  How much do firewalls cost?  How hard are they to set up for a very
novice user?
