I have a 15pin, K/V/M, "Data Switch" made by PC Concepts, that I got at my
local Fry's superstore for about $25. It allows one monitor, keyboard, and
PS/2 mouse for two machines. As others have said, if I allow each system to
boot fully before switching, then I usually have no problems. Usually.
Sometimes the mouse will lock if I switch from Win95 to the server and back.
So I mostly use it to bring up the server, run in Windows, then shut down in
reverse. For the twenty five bucks plus the price of the extra cables, still
much cheaper than another monitor. This serves my needs just fine.
