This reply is OK, but I'd like to comment. Never save on keyboard,
mouse, and monitor - your hands and your eyes are more important than
a few bucks, (at least if you plan to spend over 15 min. daily near
the screen).

The best choice would be not saving at all - buy the best quality
components you can afford - mb, drives, cpu, keyboard, mouse, modem,
etc... However the things we want are almost always not the things we
can afford... =8-(

At the moment, the option to save $ is the memory. Buy as little as
you can live with and upgrade later - 64 mb is a "recommended minimum"
for Win98 systems, and some people (like me) can cope with the W98 on
32 mb of memory.
