There are lots of good business and accounting software that will do this
for you, but I have always used Excel, although any spreadsheet will do the
job. I set up my own custom spreadsheet. I can track, record, and archive
the data the exactly way I want to see it, and I don't have to worry about
the software company going out of business or abandoning the product. Plus
all I need is the file, and I can access everything from any PC with the
right version of MS Office on it.
