Intel M530 M/b, Pentium 166, 32Mb RAM, New formatted empty 4.3Gb HDD with no OS yet,Bios string i430VX-02071997C-00.
Fitted new 52x LTN526D CDRom with cable connections double checked for correct alignment. The CD is recognised during POST when booting with a win98 boot disk.When the A prompt appears, I change to the E drive and it is recognised. Type in cd\win98. Type Dir/p and the files appear on screen. Type OEMSetup and the win98 setup screen appears with message"Please wait. Setup is checking your system configuration" and it hangs there. I cannot figure out where to go next. Help please!
