I have used Parallel Port Nul Modem Cable and Laplink and Windows Direct
Cable Conxn to transfer Data but to utilize the Bidirectional
Capabilities how would you need to alter the pin connection of the Null
Modem cable ? Because if I am not mistaken, in a Null Modem you would
just switch the Rx & Tx lines but the Bidirectional cable has a slightly
different pin configuration.....

Also where would I find such information on the net, if it is
available... ?

        Parallel, by a wide margin, especially if both system have
bi-directional
parallel ports. About the only advantage serial would have in this case
is a
lower number of wires (not by much) and longer lengths are possible.
