I picked up a DVD player and decoder card the other day but I'm having
some
problems with it.
Sometimes, at any given time, the computer will reboot itself or I
will get
a error from
Windows when playing movies. It can happen 10 minutes into the movie
or 30
minutes into
the movie.
I did re-install everything last nite, and downloaded drivers from the
website and re-installed
them (same drivers). I was able to fast forward thru a movie with no
problems, but I have not had time to watch a whole movie again.
If it happens again,
are we talking about IRQ stuff here? Or memory?. One thing I did
notice
was
that when I play a movie my hard drive is very very busy.
The last time I had problems with a computer rebooting all by itself
was
the power supply. But because I get the Windows errors I figure it's
something
to do with a conflict.
When I check the system or devices everything seems to be ok.
I'm going to install it into NT tonite but let me know if you have
any ideas.

Thanks,
Bill
