Hi gang,

I have been having trouble with my new system. I was wondering if you might
have any input as to what the problem might be. I have a PII 400 system
with 128MB PC100 SDRAM, 4.3 GB Seagate Hard drive, FIC VB601 BX Mobo, Teac
32x-speed CDROM, Actiontec 56K modem, STB Velocity 128 AGP Video Card,
Diamond 3DII 3D Accellerator, Creative Labs PCI 132 Sound card, and I am
running Windows'95. Ever since I started it up the darn thing would reboot
at random. Sometimes it was while I was on the modem, sometimes it was
during a program. And sometimes it would boot up when sitting idle for a
while. The computer gives no error message. I checked to see if there were
any hardware conflicts and there were none. There can't be too many
possibilities. I think it is a short on the MOBO but I am really not sure.
I checked and it seems to be well grounded and installed. But I am not an
expert. What should I look for? I also think it might be the Power Supply.
Anyone have a clue? I called the manufacturer and they seemed to trust my
opinion that it is the MOBO. THey actually are sending me a new mobo to
install. But the problem is that I don't have any experience installing
mobos. What should I be careful of when doing so? I would like to do this
installation for my own learning experience. So if anyone could give me any
advice on doing so, it would be greatly appreciated.

TIA,

Michi Imamura
