Hello All,

I was having problems with my internet and network connections and thought I would reuse a program called Network Magic. I have used it before and it repaired my connections etc in moments.

This time however, it required a re-boot so it could run part of the program in DOS mode (something I did not recall from last time) and it hung on the Lock Command question. Now I am unable to start my computer without it hanging in that same spot. I can start the computer with a command prompt using my boot floppy but have run out of ideas as how to stop that program trying to run before Windows starts. I even removed the CMOS battery as a last resort.

I am running Win98SE with 512 mb RAM.

I am quite familiar with DOS and have spent some hours reading all the log and text files that were updated around the time the problem started hoping to find something. I even restored the registry to the day before the event hoping for resolution.

Any ideas will be gratefully accepted.

Thank you

Anne Smith
