Sometime ago I bought a Hercules Terminator Beast AGP 8mb video card and I
couldn't get it to work. It used to freez up windows98 just like yours.
This card I had installed on a FIC V530+ mb with the VIA chipset. Only last
night I visited the VIA web site and discovered that they don't support the
Hercules AGP card.
Maybe you have a similar problem. Check out you chipset manufacturer.
