Lots of "new installs" need specific drivers for the device that
"makes your sound". (On-board or a soundcard?, etc...)
After I ID and get those drivers and install them, things are fine...

Note: Some drivers are so commom (or old) that the OS will give
you a "stripped-down" copy.
Lots of times the OS has "nothing" for you...
(Or worse, IDs things wrong and causes problems...)
