Hello to all

I have a Canon Innova 480CDT laptop that I have to replace the cmos battery
in. I have the battery, and I have disassembled the case to the point that
I can see the old cmos battery, but I cannot remove it as it is held in
place by the plastic case of the laptop. I have tried as much as I am able
to separate the two halves of the case, but I am afraid of breaking it.

I have removed every screw that I can find, even the ones buried under the
main battery and removable floppy, but the case still will not separate. I
have removed the keyboard which is how I can see the cmos battery.

Does anyone know how to separate this case to replace the battery, or it
there a website that may have an exploded view of the machine? I have not
been able to find one.

TIA,

Mike
