It's true, Winmodems have been the worst thing to hit the street since BETA
hit video stores (http://www.m2w.net/Reference/Beta.html for reference
purposes)

I even recomend an external modem, that seems to be best compatible for the
mainstream (95 / 98) and the alternatives (NT & Linux)
