Chris,

You haven't said why you need to increase your PC's performance.

If you play lots of games, then more RAM will help you.
If you do database work, then a newer, faster hard drive would be
a better choice.
If you play lots of movies, then maybe a new video card and a
small RAM upgrade (to 64 meg) would be best.

Once you hit 32 Meg of RAM (and you have), adding more will
not change the overall performance of your PC. At levels above
32 Meg, RAM is more like the trunk of a car. More RAM means you
can carry more stuff, but it will not make the car run faster.

I am presently running a compaq p120 w/ 32 meg ram. Unfortunately, my
computer is not upgradeable except for the ram. Does anyone know of any
optimizing software or anything to help my computer or is getting 128 meg
ram the only option.
