My present problem: My computer (OS=98SE;700AMD;512MB)has been running slower over the past several weeks. I also was having problems when trying to open a web address from an e-mail...the computer would freeze, and when I pressed: Ctrl+Alt+Del several times a box would come up saying that Explorer wasn't responding. As a result, I would lose any unsaved information, and I would have to start all over again. This has been getting worse over the past two weeks. Today whenever I try to open IE, the error message comes up and IE won't open. I've cleaned my discs, scanned & defragged...run Spybot, Adaware & AVG scans my system when it boots up. I also only keep the bare minimum on my start up and I went through my programs just today and removed all that I don't use regularly. Help! Do you have any insight into what may be causing the error messages from Explorer and the sluggishness in the system? I have cable service and I spoke with a tech today and he said it wasn't the service, it was my computer. I did search through the archives, but no info came up on error messages...if I overlooked a solution, I apologize. Thanks! Jacquelyn Baker
