I have the HP3300C scanner and it works very well. I bought it about a year
ago for $149.00. The main thing I use it for is making copies and emailing
pics, nothing extreme. Although I have used it to scan some old photos to
enlarge them and it does pick up all the detail the average Joe should need.
BTW it's hooked up via USB cable on Win98se machine which I just upgraded to
XP and it still works fine.
