One thing to do is check with local building codes.  where I live
running
low voltage and 120 volt wiring in the same "pathway" is a code
violation.
Personally, I would want them run in separate pathways.

I was in a new home that was just going up the other day and saw

the electrician had run network cable along (touching) the electric
wire.
I know that this doesn't meet the standard but how bad in real
life is
it? How much interference would it create?
