Can you access some hardware monitoring information from within your
computer's BIOS?  Usually there is a temperature for the the CPU and the
system.  It sounds like the inside of your case is quite warm.

When I remove a CD, a DVD, or a 3.5 floppy, it feels hot.   I inserted a 3.5
floppy for about 5 minutes (or less) and didn't even spin it, just removed
it and the half toward the inside felt hot.  Is this supposed to occur?
